How To Volunteer
The Flying Pig Marathon needs nearly 4000 volunteers for several important areas of the Marathon - before, during, and after the race. Each Volunteer receives a classic Flying Pig Grunt t-shirt.

Volunteer Assignment Descriptions:
- Expo Set-up - Help in the set up of various areas of the Expo and other pre-race prepartions
Location: Duke Energy Convention Center
Date: Thursday, April 29
- Health and Fitness Expo - Assist with packet pickup and other expo activities
Location: Duke Energy Convention Center
Dates: Friday and Saturday, April 30 & May 1
- 5K, 10K, Kids Piglet Fun Run - Assist with registration, start lines, finish lines, and course monitoring
Location: Yeatmans Cove area
Date: Saturday, May 1
- Marathon Day - Assist in several areas on Sunday May 2
- Start Line - Provide information to runners near Paul Brown Stadium, assist in clean up , serve as course monitors in downtown area
- Course Timer - Call out time, pace, predicted finish times to runners at mile marker on the course
- Info Pig - Provide informationn to runners and spectators at various locations. Training provided
- Course Monitors - Insure runner and spectator safety at various locations along the marathon and half marathon course.
